COMAH Pages Revamp

The HSE has updated the Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) section of its website. The COMAH Competent Authority (CA) has reviewed the way major hazards are regulated, and there’s a separate section explaining changes in the regulatory process from April 2010. The pages detail new management arrangements for fuel storage sites and improvements in information collection and use. They also offer information on shorter safety report assessments and increased inspection of COMAH facilities. From www.hse.gov.uk/comah/index.htm, visitors can access a new safety report assessment manual and guide. The site also contains sections on the work of the Process Safety Leadership Group (PSLG) and COMAH-related safety alerts.
