CSSA Press Release - CSSA Launches Election Manifesto
Released on 12/01/2010
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE CSSA – 12th JANUARY 2010
CSSA LAUNCHES ELECTION MANIFESTO
CHALLENGES PARTIES TO MAKE CLEANING MATTER
The Cleaning and Support Services Association (CSSA) today launches its General Election Manifesto for 2010.
The cleaning industry employs in excess of 1 million people in the UK, and cleanliness is of great importance in all our lives. This manifesto sets out the issues of most concern to this vital sector and challenges the politicians to stand up in support of a cleaner country.
Speaking following publication, the CSSA Chief Executive Andrew Large said:
“The launch of our manifesto is a major step forwards in the promotion of cleanliness in the political sphere. There are 1 million people, 1 million voters, whose livelihoods are directly linked to cleaning and every single one of us has a stake in the cleanliness of Britain.”
“I challenge all the political parties to make the cleanliness of the UK a significant theme in the forthcoming General Election. A cleaner country will be more productive, more attractive to overseas investors and more hygienic to live in. Who wouldn’t want that?”
