Notes for Editors

Established in 1967, the Cleaning and Support Services Association is the UK trade association for private sector employers in the contract cleaning sector. CSSA members account for over 70% of the turnover in the sector and employ in excess of 300,000 people.

The London Centre for Children with Cerebral Palsy is a registered charity which supports children with cerebral palsy, their families and professionals working with them from across London and the Home Counties. We have been providing educational services for children since our inauguration in 1963 when we were set up as The Hornsey Trust.

The Centre provides Conductive Education for young children with cerebral palsy up to the age of 11 years. Conductive Education is a teaching method designed to help children gain greater control and co-ordination of their muscles and movement. It teaches greater body and spatial awareness and encourages children to understand how their bodies move and how to make them move in the way they want them to. Its overall aim is to help each child to develop their physical, intellectual and social skills to the best of their ability in order that they may become as independent as possible.

If you would like to know more about the benefits that the association can bring to your business or are interested in becoming a member of the CSSA, please contact Andrew Large on 020 7920 9632 or email alarge@cleaningassoc.org.  Alternatively, further information can be found on the website at www.cleaningindustry.org.
